Beach Wandering is a free flowing painting with sweeping colour applied with brushes and palette knife. Texture can be seen throughout the painting. Tonia’s inspiration was from her many times wandering along the ocean edge on beautiful beaches, feeling the freedom, gazing out to sea and breathing in the salt air. Tonia wanted to create this feeedom by using free and sweeping brush strokes. The painting developed from the spectacular, rich red headland against the contrasting yellow sand and cool blue ocean of Mother’s Beach, Mornington on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria.
The artwork will give colourful serenity to any room as it takes the viewer to summer time and this beautiful place by the ocean.
Acrylic paint has been applied with brush and palette knife and finished with two coats of satin varnish. The thick edge canvas is quality cotton.
*The painting is framed in a natural Tasmanian Oak timber floating frame, has a wire across the back and is ready to hang. The size shown is the framed size.
