Tonia is inspired by the beauty of nature and people's interaction with the changing moods and colours of the weather. In Ocean Roar she captures a rough and turbulent day on the back beaches of the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria Australia. She wants the viewer to feel the power of the waves as they surge and crash onto the beach. A few people are braving the water as a couple and their dog walk along the foreshore. The painting is aimed to bring your home vitality and movement.
Shades of green, turqoise, and white acrylic paint has been applied freely using palette knives and brushes. The painting is on a quality cotton canvas with a white timber external floating frame. It has wire across the back, ready to hang and is finished and protected with two coats of satin varnish.
