Tonia's love of the ocean, it's moods and colours, and people having fun at the beach inspired her to paint this artwork. The scene is typical of a hot summer’s day on a beautiful Australian beach. The view takes you from people sitting under their colourful umbrellas, across the warm sands to the ocean, where people are swimming in the cool, blues of the water. Where’s Wendy, the girl in the red bikini, features in many of Tonia’s paintings. The artwork is fun and colourful and will give happiness and thoughts of summer to any room.
Acrylic paint has been applied with brush and palette knife and finished with two coats of satin varnish. The thick edge canvas is quality cotton.
